What Are Semi-Private Sessions?
Semi-private sessions pair two students of similar age and ability with one of our qualified teachers. Each child gets dedicated, expert attention — and the added benefit of learning alongside a peer working at the same level.
It’s a deliberate teaching choice, not a compromise. Research and our own experience show that students often progress faster in semi-private sessions than in pure one-to-one. They explain ideas to each other, pick up strategies by watching a peer, and feel less pressure to perform — all while still getting the focused guidance only a qualified teacher can provide.
And because the teacher’s time is shared, semi-private sessions are also more affordable per student — making expert tutoring accessible to more families.
